HOW WE CAN HELP
Mechanical cable cleaning can break through or retrieve many common drain obstructions. Tell us where the backup is happening and whether it keeps returning.
High-pressure water can remove accumulated grease and buildup from drain lines. We assess whether jetting is appropriate for the line before recommending service.
Repeated backups may need more than another quick clearing. Talk to our team about the history of the problem and the next step.
Drain Snaking
A professional drain snake feeds a cable and appropriate cleaning attachment into a drain through an available access point. It can work through or retrieve an obstruction, depending on the blockage and equipment used. The cable and attachment should fit the line rather than treating every drain as the same job.
North East offers drain snaking for clogged lines. Tell us which fixtures are affected, whether the line has been cleared before and whether the flow returned only briefly. That history helps distinguish a first-time obstruction from a problem that needs a broader evaluation.
Hydro Jetting
Hydro jetting directs high-pressure water through a hose and nozzle to clean a drain line. It can be useful for grease, sludge and other accumulated deposits. The objective and equipment differ from a cable machine, so the choice depends on the line and the material causing the restriction.
We provide hydro jetting when appropriate for the job. Access, pipe condition and the nature of the blockage need to be considered before service. Cleaning is not a structural repair: a damaged or displaced pipe may require a separate solution even if flow can temporarily be restored.
Fixture or Main Line
A problem limited to one sink or tub may be closer to that fixture. Several drains reacting together can indicate a shared downstream issue, although the pattern alone does not establish the cause. Note whether a toilet, shower or floor drain reacts when another fixture is used.
When calling, tell us the lowest point where water appears, how many fixtures are affected and whether the problem is recurring. Avoid repeatedly testing an overflowing fixture. A clear description helps our team plan the visit and identify the access information needed.
Recurring Problems
Clearing an obstruction and identifying every underlying condition are different tasks. A line may have remaining deposits, a recurring source of material or a physical issue that cleaning cannot repair. If the same problem returns, the service history becomes especially valuable.
Tell us how long the previous clearing lasted and whether anything was reported about the pipe. Our team can explain whether additional cleaning or further evaluation is appropriate. We do not treat a short period of restored flow as proof that the entire line is in good condition.
Before We Arrive
Clear a path to the affected fixture or known cleanout if you can do so safely. Let us know about a finished basement, tight access, tenant coordination or an exterior cleanout that is difficult to reach. Do not remove covers or dismantle piping just to prepare for the visit.
If chemical drain products have been used, identify the product and approximately when it was added. Share that information before work starts. When you request a quote, explain whether you are seeking one-time clearing or discussing a recurring problem; the equipment and scope may differ.

A CLOSER LOOK
A drain snake uses a mechanical cable to work through an obstruction. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean buildup from the inside of a suitable drain line. These methods do different jobs, so we do not assume that every clog needs the same treatment. The location of the blockage, the history of backups, access and the condition of the piping help determine the approach.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Tell us which fixtures are affected, when the issue began and what has already been tried.
We consider the blockage, access and pipe condition before recommending snaking or jetting.
If cleaning alone does not explain the problem, we will talk through the need for further evaluation.
No. The appropriate method depends on what is blocking the line and whether the piping is suitable. Snaking can be useful for an obstruction; jetting may be appropriate for accumulated buildup.
No. Clearing a line does not repair structural damage. Persistent problems may need additional evaluation and a separate repair.
Let us know whether one or several fixtures are affected, whether the problem has happened before and whether any chemical drain product has been used.
